Vehicle Fixation – Hook Fixation: Mounting
Here you can find a step by step description of how to mount the hook fixation using the transverse rod QST. The testing room shown is equipped with sticking anchors. Sliding anchors are installable as well. In practice the set-up time per fixation triangle is approx. two minutes (rule of thumb: 1 minute per rod).
Put the vehicle onto the test stand and align it eg.g using a centering assistant. Pull the hand brake.
Position the first anchor in a way that the transverse rod QST is transverse to the driving direction of the vehicle.
Place the transverse rod QST into the open rod collet. Initially the rod collet stays open.
Hook in the hook of the transverse rod QST into the towing lug of the vehicle. Close the hook-closing bolt using the lever.
At the first sticking anchor close the rod collet and lock both latch clamps. They must snap in noticeably.
At the first sticking anchor close the locking lever. Thereby the anchor is fixed in the floor bushing by clamping.
On both sides stick a securing pin through the drill-hole of of the transverse rod QST directly besides rod collet.
Position the second anchor in a way that the angle between diagonal rod DST and driving direction is 45° at maximum.
Place the diagonal rod DST into the open rod collet of the second anchor. Initially the rod collet stays open.
Stick the fork crown of the diagonal rod DST onto the docking unit of the QST and secure it using a push-fit coupling.
At the second anchor close the rod collet, then close the locking lever and stick in securung pins.
Roll in the vehicle now, then fix the rear axle. After that the vehicle is ready for yout test runs.
